The Rural History Group Analyses processes of modernisation in general, and more specific its effects on the spatial use, social and economic organisation of society, rural communities, comsumption and production, agriculture and the environment. The long-term view, the method of encompassing comparison and attention for spatial consequences of social processes are typical for our approach.
